This second remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers would have been hard-pressed to top the terrifying 1979 version starring Donald Sutherland and sure enough it fails in that respect but that doesn't mean it isn't a watchable film in its own right. Director Abel Ferrara makes a more teen-centric film with a teenage girl Marty as the main character who accompanies her scientist father to a military base with his second family and falls in love with a hunky pilot Tim ( Billy Wirth ). The camp turns out to be infested with the human replicating alien pods bent on eradicating the human race.The film has some good shocks even when you're familiart with the premise but is a bit let down by the messy overlong climax.

Gabrielle is a British born actress who moved to America in the early nineties following her boyfriend Craig Sheffer. In film she is probably best remembered for her role in Scent Of A Woman. Her film roles dwindled in the noughties though she had TV success particularly in the US series Burn Notice. She seems to be on hiatus at the moment with no appearances since 2019.
Meg Tilly ( as Carol / replicant)
Sex : Carol initiates sex with her husband but they are interrupted
Death : Carol is replaced by a pod and crumbles away. It's implied her replicant dies when the army base is destroyed

Meg used a body double - pretty obviously- for her brief nude appearance. As a relicant she's the scariest character in the film.
