556 Blue Monkey (1987)

This  hospital-set  Canadian shocker  borrows  liberally  from Alien and The  Fly  and  is  low  on  gore but  it's  hard  to  dislike  with  its  tongue in cheek  tone - some  of  the  characters  are  wholly  comic. That  doesn't  extend  to leading  man  Steve  Railsback whose  one  dour  expression brings  down  every  scene in  which he  appears.
