212 The Premature Burial ( 1962 )

This  is  another  of  Roger  Corman's  Poe  adaptations  and  certainly  has  a  "haven't  we  been  here  before ?"  air  to  it.

Dour  Ray  Miland  steps  in  for  the  presumably  unavailable  Vincent  Price  as  Guy  Carrell, a  British  aristocrat  consumed  by  a  fear  of  being  buried  alive. As  usual  he's  guarded  by  a  devoted  but  ineffectual  sister, Kate  ( Heather  Angel ). Guy  tries  to  break  up  with  fiance  Emily  but  she  persuades  him  to  go  ahead  with  the  wedding. That  doesn't  stop  him  fretting.

It's  got  all  the customary  Corman  trademarks  and  is  watchable  throughout  although  the  revelations  at  the  end  don't  cover  everything  that's  gone  before  and  leave  you  dissatisfied.

Hazel  Court  ( as  Emily )

Sex : Emily's  nightdress  is  fairly  see-through

Death : Suffocates  from  earth  piled  on top  of  her

Hazel  shines  again  in  this  one  without  revealing  as  much  flesh.
