325 The Flesh and Blood Show ( 1972 )
Well there's certainly no shortage of flesh on show here ( including our first glimpse of a male todger ) although I suspect there was a little cheating by one party.
Mike Archer ( Ray Brooks ) directs a small troop of actors brought together by a mysterious agent to improvise a play in a semi-derelict theatre at the end of a pier. Wouldn't you know it someone starts murdering them. The culprit is soon obvious but a regular display of female flesh keeps you awake.
Jenny Hanley ( as Julia Dawson )
Sex : Julia strips off for bed ( although it's a body double once her bra comes off )
Death : Survives
Jenny clashed with director Peter Walker and got Equity to remove part of the nude footage as the substitute had brown pubic hair.
Luan Peters ( as Carol )
Sex : Carol answers the door nude in the opening scene and later has sex with one of the other actors
Death : Fatally struck by Julia
Luan got third billing in this film, perhaps as a reward for the nude scene.
Candace Glendinning ( as Sarah )
Sex : Sarah is surprised while topless
Death : Stabbed in the back by the killer
Candace was from Islington and worked throughout the seventies disappearing into private life after 1982. Ironically, one of her last TV roles was in the Thora Hird comedy
series Flesh and Blood. She is now 64.
Judy Matheson ( as Jane )
Sex : Jane accepts the lesbian attentions of Angela
Death : Survives
Judy actually makes it to the final reel in this one.
Penny Meredith ( as Angela )
Sex : Angela sleeps topless. She undoes Jane's bra and caresses her.
Death : Angela is guillotined by the killer.
Penny was active in the seventies mainly in soft porn films, She also had a spell as a TV hostess on Whose Baby ?
Jane Cardew ( as Lady Pamela )
Sex : Pamela is having an affair with a fellow actor and starts having sex in front of her young daughter
Death : Roped to her lover and left to starve by her husband
Jane had a brief career, again mainly in soft porn, in the early seventies.
