174 The Four Skulls of Jonathan Drake ( 1959 )

This  supernatural  chiller  is  pretty  sexless  and  not  all  that  easy  to  follow  but  it's  mildly  entertaining.

Jonathan  Drake  ( Eduard  Franz  )  is  approaching  60  and  haunted  by  a  family  curse  where  the  Drake  men  die  when  they  reach  that  age  and  their  heads  are  removed. This  relates  to  a  colonial  misadventure  with  an  Indian  tribe  180  years  before.  When  his  elder  brother  is  killed  in  the  same  way,  his  daughter  Alison  contacts  the  police  in  the  form  of  Lt  Rowan  ( Grant  Richards ) to  try  and  save  her  father.

Valerie  French  ( as  Alison  Drake )

Sex :  Nice  boobs  but  they  stay  under  wraps

Death : Survives

Valerie  was  a  British  actress  who  moved  to  Hollywood  in  the  mid-fifties  and  made  an  impression  in  a  number  of  Westerns.  At  the  beginning  of  the  sixties,  she  returned  mainly  to  the  stage  and  her  last  film  was  Shalako  in   1968. She  died  of  leukemia  in  1990  aged  62.
