Peter Cushing got the boot and the franchise got a re-boot with Ralph Bates as the young baron taking the story back to the start with an added dash of black humour. Its good fun and probably what the series needed. Bodybuilder Dave Prowse plays the silent monster

This was the second of only two films Carol made. The woodsman was played by her real-life father Hal Jeayes.
