 One  of  Arnold  Schwarzenegger's  better  vehicles , this  is  more  of  an  action  thriller  than  a  horror  film  but  has  enough  elements  to  qualify. Arnie  is  Dutch, part of  a  group  of  US commandos  sent  to  the  South  American  jungle where  they  are  picked  off by  a  terrifying  alien  for  the  sport.

Elpidia, the  only  female  in  the  cast, had  a  difficult  childhood  in  Mexico, losing  both  her  father  and  brother  to  violence. She  started  modelling  at  ten  and  made  her  first  MExican  film  at  12  in 1977. Her  first  English  language  film  was  The  Border  in 1982. After  this  role, she  has  divided  her  time  between  the  US  and  Mexico  and  has  dabbled  in  directing
