This is a reasonable sequel to Creature from the Black Lagoon but its place in cinematic history is really assured through featuring the cinematic debut of a young Clint Eastwood in an uncredited role as a lab technician.
Captain Lucas ( Nestor Paiva), the only returning character from the first film takes a couple of hunters back to the lagoon where they succeed in capturing the Gill-Man and bringing him back to Florida as an aquarium exhibit There he's studied by Professor Ferguson ( John Agar ) and a postgraduate student Helen who becomes his girlfriend. Inevitably he breaks loose and from that point all narrative coherence and logic goes out of the window but it's quite good fun.
Lori Nelson ( as Helen Dobson )
Sex : Though not spectacularly endowed, Lori looks nice in a white swimsuit ( though the snorkel in the underwater sequences disguises the fact that it's actually stuntwoman Ginger Stanley ). She also has a few snogs with Agar.
Death: Survives
Lori was originally Dixie Nelson from Santa Fe. She was a former beauty queen who turned to acting in 1952. She didn't achieve stardom in her films but did get a starring role in the TV series How To Marry A Millionaire . Since 1961, her appearances have been very sporadic. She is now 83.
Patricia Powers ( as Girl in convertible )
Sex : She's necking when disturbed by a patrolman
Death : Survives
This is Patricia's only film role. She died in 1997 aged 62.
Loretta Agar ( as woman on yacht )
Sex : No
Death : Survives
As her name would suggest Loretta was star John Agar's wife. Her only other screen role was an uncredited dancer in Citizen Kane . She died in 2000 aged 77.
