This British-made film directed by Jacques Tourneur has a good reputation among film buffs and the "It's in the trees, it's coming ! " line was famously sampled by Kate Bush on Hounds of Love. I must admit I found it interesting but over-long - a strong beginning and end but it does sag a bit in the middle.
John Holden ( Dana Andrews ) is an American psychiatrist coming to a UK convention arranged by Professor Harrington ( Maurice Denham ) to debunk the occult theories of Dr Julian Karswell ( Niall McGinnis ) who has attracted quite a following.
