142 Voodoo Island ( 1957 )
This is a decently-made Boris Karloff vehicle that takes a while to get going and has a rather flat ending but does deliver one or two decent shocks along the way.
Karloff plays Philip Knight a TV hoax-buster brought in by a wealthy industrialist to prove that an island he plans to build a hotel on isn't plagued by a voodoo curse after the sole survivor of his surveying party returns in a zombiefied state. Knight leads a motley party on to the island where ( eventually ) things start to go wrong.
