This long-delayed sequel to Hitchcock's masterpiece saw Anthony Perkins returning as Norman Bates looking to pick up the pieces of a normal life 22 years later. Perkins' sympathetic performance compensates for an over-complex plot and makes the ending that much more shocking.

Meg was born in the US but brought up in Canada. She joined a ballet company and made her film debut in Fame as a dancer but by the time the film came out she'd had to retire through injury. This was a starmaking role for her and she had a successful eighties with an Oscar nomination for Agnes of God in 1985. In 1994, she quit acting and began a new career as a successful novelist. She returned to acting in 2012 winning a number of Canadian awards for her role in the series Bomb Girls and has appeared in a couple of films.
