499 American Nightmare (1983)

 This  Canadian movie reunites  some  of  the  cast of  Visiting  Hours  and  like that  works  equally  well  as  a  crime  thriller  ( although  Michael  Ironside's  detective  is  strangely  redundant ). Rich boy  Eric comes  looking  for  his  sister  in  the  sleazy underbelly  of  Toronto  where  a  man  with  a  knife  is  also  at  work. The  acting  could  be  better  but  otherwise  this  is  pretty  good.

Lora  Staley  ( as Louise )

Sex : Louise  has  sex  with  Eric  and  does  a  striptease

Death : Survives

This  was Lora's  second film  role. She  was  mainly  a  TV  actress  who  was  very  busy in  the  eighties, less  so  in  the  nineties  and  dropped  out  after  1996.

Lenore  Zann ( as  Tina )  

Sex : Tina  does  two energetic stripteases

Death : Tina  has  her  throat slit

    You  get  to  see  practically every  inch  of  Lenore  in  this  one.

 Claudia Udy ( as  Andrea )

Sex : Andrea  does a  strip tease

Death : Andrea  is  drwned  in  her  bath  and  has  her  wrists  slit  for  good  measure

Claudia  is  the  older  sister  of  Helene  Udy.  She  appeared  in  a  number  of  films  in  the  eighties and  early  nineties, none  of  them  very  well  known and  dropped  out  of acting  after  1992.

Alexandra Paul ( as  Isabelle )

Sex : Isabelle is  a  prostitute in  the  course  of  which  she  has  slept  with  her  father

Death : Isabelle  has  her  throat  slit

Alexandra  was  a  model  before  getting  into  acting and  this  was  her  first  film  role. She  had  a  solid  film  career  in  the  eighties  but  found  greater  fame  on  TV  in  the  nineties  with  Baywatch.. Since  then  she  has  combined  acting  with  TV presenting, usually on  programmes  with  a  environmental  focus.

Nancy Oliver ( as Marie )

Sex : Marie  does a  strip tease/juggling act

Death : Survives

This  was  Nancy's only  film  role.
