510 The Mutilator ( aka Fall Break ) ( 1985 )

 Those  predicting  the  demise  of  the  slasher will  have  been  encouraged  by  this  one. The  gory effects  are OK  so  the  nake-up team are  the  only people  who  deserved  to  work  again  after  this  farrago. The  premise is  ridiculous, the  direction is  incompetent and  the  dialogue  is  literally  unspeakable. The  latter  factor  is  the  only  possible  excuse  for  the  uniformly  terrible  acting; one Morey  Lampley  has  got  to  be  the  worst  actor  I've  ever  seen.

Ruth  Martinez ( as Pam )

Sex : No - she's a proud virgin

Death : Survives

Although the most competent  of  the  young  actors, Ruth did  not  appear  in another  film  until  the  made  a  sequel  last  year.

Connie  Rogers ( as Sue )

Sex : Sue  prepares for  sex with  her  boyfriend

Death : Gutted  with  a  giant  fish hook  through  the  crotch  then  beheaded

This  was  Connie's  only  film  role. She  died  in  2021.

Frances Raines ( as Linda )

Sex : Linda  goes  skinyydipping with her boyfriend

Death : Linda  is  drowned by  the  mutilator

Frances  is  related  by  marriage to  the  actor  Claud  Rains. She  had  a  brief  film  career  in  exploitation  movies  in  the  eighties then  moved  into  regional  theatre. She re-appeared  in  a  couple  of  films  a  dedade  ago  under  her  married  name  of  Linda Sherman.
