511 Friday the 13th V : A New Beginning (1985 )

 Having  made  the  decision  to  carry  on  with  the  franchise, they  didn't  waste  much  time  in bringing  the  next  one  out. This  one  doesn't  feature  Jason, only smeone  inspired  by him and  jumps  five  years  because  Corey  Feldman  wasn't  available  ( other  than  a  brief  cameo ) to  play  Tommy. With  a director  more  interested in  making  a  porn  movie, the  actors  were  free  to  improvise much  of  their  dialogue and  the  result  is  a  disjointed  mess with  characters being  killed  off  almost  as  soon  as  they've  been  introduced  and  little  narrative  coherence.

Melanie  Kinnaman ( as Pam )

Sex : No

Death : Survives

This  was  Melanie's  first  film  after  a  couple  of  TV  appearances. Her  film  career was  over  by  the  end  of  the  eighties  although  she  appeared  as  herself  in  the  2022  film  The  Once  And  Future Smash.

Juliette Cummins ( as Robin )

Sex : Robin  strips off  for  bed

Death : Robin  is  impaled  from  under  the  bed

Juliette  was  a  former  gymnast who would  have  gone  to  the  Moscow  Games  in  1980  but  for  the  boycott.  She  turned  to  acting  and  worked  for  about  eight  years  mainly  in  horror  films. After  her  acting  career  stalled,  she  became  a  teacher.

Jere  Fields ( as Anita )

Sex : No

Death : Has  her  throat  slit (offsceeen)

This  was  Jere's   first  film  role  after  many  TV  credits, first  as  a  child  then  as  a  voice  actress. She  disappears  after 1987.

Tiffany  Helm ( as  Violet )

Sex : No

Death : Stabbed  in  the  stomach

Tiffany  was  a  former  dancer  and  teen  model  and  this  was  her  third  film  role. She  dropped  out  of  acting  in  1995  and  became  a  portrait  photographer. She  has  returned  to  acting  recently  with  small  roles  in  a  few  recent  pictures.

Deborah  Vorhees ( as  Tina )

Sex :  Tina  has  al fresco sex  with  her  boyfriend

Death :  Tina  is  stabbed  through  the  eyes  with  shears.

Debbie   certainly  gets  the  opportunity  to  show  off  her  figure  in  this  one.

Rebecca  Wood  ( as  Lana )

Sex : Lana  looks  at  her  breasts  in  the  mirror

Death : Lana  is  axed  through  the  abdomen

This  was  Rebecca's  second  film  role  after  Mask. She  had  a  brief  career  and  disappears  after  1991.
