432 The Visitor (1979)

 Though  filmed  in  the  US  with  an   American  cast  and  budget , this  was  made  by  an Italian  team  with  a  flamboyant  disregard  for  Hollywood  conventions  such  as  a  coherent  storyline  or  even  basic  continuity.It  can  best  be  described  as  a  weird  sci-fi  take  on  The  Omen  but  the  influence  of  other  films  is  often  apparent.

A  young  girl  on  Earth  is  identified  by  an  old  man ( John  Huston ) led  by  Mel  Ferrer, a on  a  distant  planet  as  the  spawn  of   an  evil  being  and  he  has  to  visit  Earth  to  do  battle  with  her. Ranged  against  him  are  a  shadowy cartel  headed  by  Mel  Ferrer , a  muderous  kestrel and  the  girl's  telekinetic  abilities.

On  the  plus  side  are  some  reliable  performances ( not  including  Huston  who  clearly isn't  taking  it  seriously )  and  undoubted visual  flair. On  the  down  side  are  the  incomprehensible  narrative, the  clumsy  religious symbolism, the  obtrusive  soundtrack  and  the  characters  turning  up  in  odd  places withouut  warning  or  explanation.

Paige had  one  film  credit  prior  to  this. She  is  clearly  older  than  eight ( her  age  in  the  film ). She  disappeared  after  1981  then  made  a  brief  comeback in  the  late  eighties. She  became  a  make-up  artist  and  owns  an eyelash  extension  business.
