457 Graduation Day ( 1981)

 This  school-based  slasher  got  a  rough  critical  response  as  part  of  a  general  backlash against  the  genre. It's  a  bit  silly  and  uneven  with  an  unsympathetic  heroine  and  some   unconvincing  stunt  work  but reasonably  entertaining. Christopher  George  is   pretty  much the  only  recognisable   face  as  a  hard  driving  athletics  coach  who  loses  one  of  his  athletes  to  an  embolism  bringing  her  sister  back  into  town. Then  other members of  the  team  start  dying.

Patch  Mackenzie  ( as Anne  Ramstead )

Patch ( real  name  Patricia ) had  a  long  string  of  TV  credits  and  the  odd  film  credit   before  and  after  this  one.  In  the  noughties she  became  an  acting  coach  and  set  up  her  own  company to  train  young  actors.

Denise Cheshire  ( as  Sally )

Sex : Strips  off  in  the  locker room

Death : Stabbed through  the  throat  with  a  fencing  foil

Denise  was  primarily  a  stuntwoman  and  most  of  her  acting  roles  were  linked  to  that. In this  one, she  is  a  gymnast  and  gets  the  opportunuty  to  show  off  her  skills. She  retired early  in  the  noughties. She  is  married  to  actor  Ron Pearlman.

Linnea  Quigley  ( as Dolores )

Sex :  Dolores  is  sleeping  with  the  music  teacher ( despite  his  dodgy  wig ) as  well  as  her  boyfriend

Death : Decapitated  with  a  sword

Linnea  had  already  made  a  small  impact  in  B-movies before  landing  this  role. She  was  not  originally  cast  as  Dolores  but  the  first  choice ( who  can  still  be  seen  in  earlier  scenes )  was  fired  for  refusing  to  bare  her  breasts. Linnea  has  become  an  icon  of  the  horror  genre with  a  vast  body  of  work, some  as  a producer  and  regular  appearances  at  conventions. She  is  still  working.

Karen Abbott ( as Joanne )

This  was  Karen's  only  film  role.

Vanna  White ( as Doris )

Death : Survives

This  was  Vanna's  first  film  role. Although  it  only  ceased  fairly  recently,  her  acting  career  has  been  eclipsed  by  her  40  year  stint  as  co-hostess  of  the  US  version  of  Wheel Of Fortune. She  has  also  produced  some  shorts  in  recent  years.

Ruth Ann Llorens ( as Laura )

Sex : No

Death : Suffers  a  cradiac  embolism  after  winning  a  race 

This  was Ruth's  only  film  role.

Linda  Shayne ( as Paula )

Sex : No

Death : Paula has  her  throat  slit

Linda  has  no  dialogue  in  this  one.
