459 Blood Beach (1981)

 If  nothing  else, this  film  had a  great  tagline  referencing  Jaws 2. It  also  has  a  pretty  good  ending. and  a  scene  where  a  rapist has  his  tool  bitten  off. Unfortunately  there's  not  much  else  to  recommend  it as  cardboard  characters  go  through  their  generic  paces. Something  is  gobbling  up  people  who  stray  on to  the  beach  in  a  less  glitzy part of  L.A.  and  the  local  police  are  a  bit  baffled. They  include  Burt  Young  who seems  to  have  wandered  in  from  the  sey=t  of  a  completely  different  film  and  it's  some  time  before  you  realise  he's  meant  to  provide  comic  relief. ( he  doesn't).

Lena  was  a  Swedish  bit  part actress, with  many  of  her  roles  referencing  her  nationality. Her  acting  career  stalled  in  the  early  nineties  but  she  has  a  handful  of  recent  credits  as  a  writer.

Laura's  screen  career  comprises  just  10  credits  spread  over  53  years. She  has  also  been   associate  producer  on  two  films  and  a video.

Lynne  had  a  long  string  of  TV  credits and  the  odd  film  behind  her  before this  one. She  appeared  three  times  as  different  characters  in  Starsky  and  Hutch, no  doubt  because  she  was  David Soul's girlfriend  in  real  life. She  was  a  competent  singer which  was  often  utilised  in  her  roles. She  retired  after  2004.
