This exhausting Canadian movie is a slasher with pretensions. It doesn't want to be just nother Friday the 13th clone but a psychological thriller with a bit of soial criticism thrown in as well. Ironically, it's the slasher elements that work best. A girl, Virginia, is a member of an exclusive and obnoxious clique at a prestigious boarding school whose members start getting killed by someone they know. Virginia suffers flashbacks and blackouts due to brain surgery after an accident in which her mother was killed. Dr Faraday who seems to have no other patients yet is recognised wherever he goes worries about her mental state.
After multiple red herrings, the film leads to a presposterous climax which defies all logic in favour of piling on surprise twists. The main problem with te film thogh is in the casting. One, some of the supporting actors are obviously too old to still be at school. Two , Glenn Ford as the doctor is clearly the worse for wear and struggles to get his lines out. Three, Melissa Sue Anderson as Virginia is another example of a TV star getting horribly exposed as inadequate on the big screen.
Melissa Sue Anderson ( as Virginia )

After it her film roles are few and far between with most of her wotk coming from TV. She became a Canadian citizen in 2007 and her last screen appearance was in 2018 so she may have retired.
