This low-budget teen-centred horror/sci-fi movie seemed the least likely to spawn a franchise but it has with Angus Scrimm's The Tall Man becoming a horror icon. Michael a young ten and his elder brother become aware that the local mortician is doing something strange with the corpses he buries and that's just the start of it. It's hard to follow the underlying logic but obviously enough people have bought into it.
