456 Funeral Home (1980)

 This  low  budget  Canadian  shocker  keeps  you  guessing  for  a  while  before  revealing  itself  to  be  a  rip-off  of  Psycho. A  teenager  arrives  in  a  small  town  to  help  her  grandmother  run    a  guest  house where  she  and  her  absconded  husband  used  to  run  a  funeral  business. Spooky  noises  from  the  cellar  and  inexplicable  disappearances point  to  something  strange  going  on  there. Decent  performances and  an  intelligent  script  make  it  a  watchable  offering.

Lesleh  comes  from  Toronto and  started  out  as  a  child  model. She  mixed film, TV  and  theatre  work  before  taking  a  long  break  following  her  marriage in  1996. She  reappeared  in 2010  and  has  recently  produced  a  couple  of  TV  shows.

Peggy  Mahon ( as  Florie )

Sex : Florie  is  on  a  dirty  weekend  and  later  comes  on  to  the  retarded  gardener

Death :  Drowns  with  her  lover  when  their  car  is  pushed  into  a  lake

Peggy  mainly  worked  in  TV  and  this  was  one  of  only  two  films  she  made many  years  apart. She  appears  to  be  still working.

Linda  Dalby ( as Linda )

Sex : No

Death : Survives

This  was  Linda's  only  film  role  and  you  suspect  she's  only  in  it  because  Lesleh  couldn't  do  the  underwater  swimming  scene.
